For the third straight game, the Battalion were looking for their first ever NCBL win. The Battalion finally broke through, winning a close game 4-3. Wil McIntyre made his second start of the season and exercised his demons from his first outing, going 5.1 innings, while allowing only 4 hits and 1 earned run. This was backed by solid defense all around, highlighted by two double plays.
On the offensive side on the ball, the Battalion were led by Steve Renaud who went 2-for-3 with 2 runs, a double and a triple. Ryan Dillon chipped in 2 RBIs, including a clutch insurance run in the bottom of the 5th.
Eitan Maoz came on to shut the door for the final 1.2 innings, earning his first ever NCBL save. The fireballer struck out 2, including the final batter of the game with the tying run at 2nd.
