In a battle of the two top teams in the NCBL, only one came to play on Sunday afternoon. The Ponies were able to easily knock off the Battalion 7-2.The Ponies were able to get to the Battalion starter, Matt Wing, early, scoring 6 runs in the first 2 innings.
Offensively, the Battalion were quiet after the first inning, only mustering 5 hits all game. John Ivimey was on the bump for the Ponies and threw a complete game 5 hitter, with 6 strikeouts.
