June 26th VS Brewers

The Battalion got a big bounce back win, defeating the Nepean Brewers 6-4. The Battalion offense struggled but was able to must just enough to help out started Braden McGinnis.

McGinnis went the complete game, throwing 126 pitches with a final line of 7IP, 3H, 12BB, 0K, 4R. He had trouble finding the zone all night but was able to induce double plays and big outs when he needed to. He improved to 2-1 on the season.

The offense was led by Ben Milinkovich who had 2 hits, including a 2RBI game tying double in the 2nd inning. Ryan Dillon also had a clutch 2RBI go-ahead single in the 5th inning to put the Battalion up for good. Drew McCormick had and RBI single in the 4th to tie the game up at 3.

It was a back and forth game but the Battalion were able to outlast the Brewers. The Brewers went up 2-0 after 2 before Milinkovich’s double tied it. They went ahead 3-2 in the 4th only to have the Battalion tie it again. The Battalion then went ahead for good in the 5th, scoring 3 runs on 3 hits and a walk.

The Battalion are back at in on Sunday against the Kingston Ponies.
