June 2nd VS Panthers

Well, the Battalions first inning woes continues in drastic fashion yet again on Tuesday night. Tom Peake got his 2nd start of the season and did not get out of the first. When it was all over it was 9-0 Panthers after 1. The 2nd inning was not much better, seeing 5 Panthers cross, making it 14-0 after 2. That would be the final score as there was no coming back from that.

Peake got off to another shaky start, walking the first 3 batters he faced. His final line was 0.2IP, 7ER, 3H, 1K, 4BB. Sam Brown then came in to make his season debut and did not fare much better going 1.1IP, 4ER, 2H, 1K, 6BB. Ben Milinkovich then came in to throw the last two innings and did not allow a run, seeing only one over the minimum while striking out 3.

The offence continued its anaemic state mustering 0 runs on only 5 hits. In the top of the first the Battalion had a baserunner on 3rd with no out and could not score him. Kyle Craig was once again the lone bright spot, going 2-for-3 with a single and a double.

The Battalion need to regroup quickly as they take on the Nepean Brewers on Thursday night.
