June 6th vs Panthers

Another close game between the two teams saw the two aces go head to head. Matt Wing took the mound for the Battalion and Marc Charbonneau toed the rubber for the Panthers. Wing was able to win the pitchers duel 4-2, behind his second straight complete game.

The Battalion fell behind early and were down 2-0 heading into the 5th before Eitan Maoz walked, and later scored on a error. This made it 2-1 heading into the 6th where the Battalion led off with 4 straight hits. Kyle Craig started it off with a single, followed by another single off the bat of Steve Renaud. Evan Hammond legged out an RBI infield single which tied the game at 2. Ryan Dillon came up and fell down 0-2 before splitting the gap for a 2 RBI double to put the Battalion up 4-2.

Wing came back out for the 7th and got the first two batters before Ken Huggins hit a single off the fence. The next batter, Kevin Miller, also hit one to the fence but was thrown out at second for the final out of the game.

The Battalion look to make it 7 in a row vs the Outlaws on Monday.
