The Battalion made it 7 in a row with a back and forth, 10-5 win over the Outlaws. In a battle of brothers, Brent Daviault made his long anticipated debut, going 2 scoreless innings, against his older brother Greg of the Outlaws. Casey Floyd came into the game and threw 4 strong innings, allowing 2 runs. Also making his pitching debut was Matt MacIntyre, who came in to finish things off, striking out 2 in 1 inning of work.
The game was much closer than the score indicates, after an 8 run 5th inning for the Battalion which saw Ryan Dillon get his name in the record books hitting the first home run, and grand slam in Battalion history. 6 players had hits, including 2 from Wil McIntyre and 3 from Steve Renaud. The top 5 in the order all had at least one hit and one RBI and combined for 9 hits and 8 RBIs.
The two teams square off in a rematch next Monday night.
