The Battalion were looking to bounce back after a disappointing game 1 loss.
Brent Daviault was making his first career playoff start and was opposed by playoff veteran Geoff Magnus for the Brewers.
The Brewers got to Daviault early, putting up 3 runs in the top of the 1st.
The Battalion could not muster much off Magnus for the first 2 innings but got to him in the 3rd. With 2 outs, a run already in, and a runner on 2nd, Alex Baldock connected for his 3rd home run of the playoffs to tie the game at 3.
The Battalion then moved ahead 4-3 in the 4th on an RBI single by Evan Hammond.
Daviault settled in and cruised up until the 6th where he got into trouble. After going walk, bunt, single, walk to start the 6th, Wil McIntyre came in relief. McIntyre walked the first batter he saw to tie the game, then had a pitch get away from him which allowed the eventual winning run to score.
The Battalion are on the brink of elimination as game 3 goes Friday night.
